Hello and welcome to WFMW!
It has been a couple months since I participated but, since I am back into the swing of things, I am jumping in with both feet.
.
Sometines having a lot of children, dogs and a blue collar working hubby can, well let’s just say, funk up the house a bit. I clean and clean but sometimes they just overpower and the funk happens. Ugh!
.
My favorite way of making the whole house smell good is to boil water. Sometimes I add a few drops of essential oil, or a few cloves or, when one of the kids eat an orange I put the peels in there with cinnamon. The yummy smell fills the house very quickly and stays around for a long time. Another bonus is the addition to a little moisture to the air. On dry days it really helps my sinuses.
.
I realize it probably didn’t rock your world, LOL, but , I hope it gave you a little help fighting the funk!
.
Have a blessed day,
~Rhen

Good Idea, I will have to try it!

I love this tip. My sons actually like the smell of dinner cooking when they arrive home from school. So I try to at least have something in the oven (slice & bake cookies) or boiling on th stove (even chicken broth with a few veggies thrown in) so the house feels warm and welcoming on these “cold” winter days in phoenix!
what a great idea! i hate to “chemical up” my house with synthetic sprays.
that is a good tip; I use a cpl drops of vanilla too!
Great idea!
Why I think that is world rockin awesome! Great idea!
I love it!
I just started putting essiential oils into our humidifier this winter. Works great and I don’t have to watch anything.
Smells so nice. Smells like home.
Blessings,
Kara
Oohh, that sounds good too! ~Rhen
That is great. I had no idea that would work. I’ll have to try it.
I like this! Isn’t it amazing how stinky boys and husbands can be?
I open a few windows for an hour–in the middle of the day in winter, or in the early morning in summer. Fresh air and oxygen. Otherwise, the house just gets stuffy to me.
